Yale Alum Sara Laimon returns with a pairing of two signature works in American modernism, the Copland Sonata and the Ives Concord Sonata, both dating from 1939. Her Mode recording of the Copland with Ives First Sonata was released to critical acclaim. This concert marks her first performance of the Concord Sonata. The New York Times described her performance of 1940s American music as music-making as intelligent as it was technically proficient. Additional Info/Contact: Desma Robles, 212-864-1414, ext 250 |
