� � The Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York extends an invitation to Yale alumni to hear from�Mark Oppenheimer at�Congregation Beth Elohim in Park Slope, Brooklyn.�Mr. Oppenheimer writes the "Beliefs" column about religion for the New York Times (and who once profiled Rabbi�Andy Bachman�for New York Magazine), is the author of Wisenheimer, a new memoir about his years in the nerdy subculture of competitive debate. He has spoken before at�Congregation Beth Elohim�about his last book, Thirteen and a Day: The Bar and Bat Mitzvah Across America. He holds a Ph.D. in religion from Yale and also writes for Slate.com, The New York Times Magazine, and Mother Jones.
