In response to the withdrawal of New Havens No Freeze Policy and a lack of community closets for homeless individuals, the Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project (YHHAP) and the Muslim Students Association (MSA) will be sponsoring theNO FREEZE PROJECT- a clothing drive for New Havens homeless population at the most crucial time of the year.

Blue collection drums will be located in all the colleges from November 17--December 17for students to leave shirts/pants/sweaters/hats/coats, to be donated through Columbus House homeless shelter and the Social Integration Program. Please consider giving away any article of clothing you no longer wear but is still in relatively good conditionits an excellent way to reduce waste in addition to providing a critical community service during the winter months.

Members of the Yale community are also encouraged to give monetary donations, through YHHAPs fundraising website, to ensure that homeless individuals receive more essential, less common articles of clothing. Just $8 will support a hat and gloves, $12 a sweatshirt, and $35 a jacket.
Please direct any questions to YHHAP, This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript , or MSA, This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript , and thank you for your donations!
