The New Blue, Yale University's premiere women's a capella group, is proud to present its 39th annual New England Concert Series.

Founded in 1969 when Yale first admitted undergraduate women, The New Blue is honored to uphold a tradition of almost forty years of professional entertainment and inspiring musicality. Perfect for a variety of venues, including corporate events, private parties, and holiday gatherings, our performance style is appropriate in any setting. An elegant and spirited addition to any occasion, we invite you to contact Stephanie Strauss, Business Manager 2008-2009 at This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript or 432.978.8549 to arrange a New Blue performance for whatever event you might be planning.

Fourteen smart, personable and poised undergraduate women from across the globe, the members of The New Blue have maintained its excellent reputation as one of the finest collegiate singing groups in the nation and as Yale's oldest female organization of any kind. The New Blue has performed all over North America and the British Isles, from the beaches of Jamaica to the Empire State Building, and this past year toured in Greece and Turkey. "Can't Stop," New Blue's thirtieth anniversary album. received the Contemporary A Capella Society's award for Best Female Collegiate Album, and we are excited to record our fortieth anniversary CD this spring for release in the fall of 2009.

The New Blue couples the engaging style of a personal performance with the flexibility and simplicity of a capella music. Our repertoire is as large as it is eclectic, including traditional, jazz, and contemporary selections from artists such as Cole Porter, Patsy Cline, and Mariah Carey. We can easily sing in any venue, and tailor our concert sets to suit any audience or occasion. While we always enjoy all of our audiences, from elementary schools to the White House, we particularly value the performance we share with Yale alumni.
